Tuesday, March 1, 2016 - This wine was superb when released, but now it's past its prime. What used to be a complex, balanced whole has become disjointed, with tartness on the attack, tannins dancing in the middle, and a flash of complexity on the finish, buoyed by a pleasant warmth from the alcohol. When paired with salsa, BBQ, or Italian, it regains much of its previous balance.
