Sunday, January 12, 1992 - With Kathy on the Napa Valley wine train. Extremely dark ruby color. Excellent fruit in the nose. Dense and structured. Cocoa. Big, strapping and tannic, it has a wealth of fruit underneath it’s tough exterior. Excellent. Needs time, but enjoyable now as well. 5-11-16-8: 90/100.
