Unlike most pinots, it is dark purple in the glass and looks more like a syrah or cab than a thin skinned pinot. Same with the nose: it has a distinct cherry nose but a black fruit, syrah nose. A bit jammy with heavy oak. While it is not a pure expression of PN and not my style, it is a good modern wine with wide appeal, and appreciated by all who tasted it.
