Saturday, April 25, 2015 - Overall, a pretty good wine. Nose was rather sweet with vanilla and oak. Palate was similar with splashes of cassis and blackberries. In a nutshell, this wine is almost a fruit bomb. Certainly not in the Aussie style but from the french perspective, the wine is surely sweeter and fruiter than most. Personally, I find that the wine does not represent Pauillac or even Bordeaux. But, on the whole, it is a well made wine and will age at least 8 - 10 years. Perhaps the oak will soften up in the coming years. Drinking well now.
