Saturday, February 2, 2019 - 2000-2011 Pontet-Canet. Third wine of the fourth (and last) flight. Surprisingly good for the vintage. Very interesting tasting of the 2000-2011 Pontet-Canet's. The 2009 is the best today, but maybe will be outshined by the 2010 in time? Also, very much loved the 2008, followed by the 2005; 2003 and 2000!

3/8/2019 6:48:00 AM - Thanks for the vertical summary. Except for 2007 and 2013, I have bottles from 2005-2016 of PC. I opened a 2005 about 1½ years ago (very nice), but I'm wondering if you can offer a suggestion as to which other vintages I could drink now, with suitable decanter time of course. Thanks.

The 2008 and 2010 will live the longest probably, so keep of them for the moment. Especially the 2010 has a massive tannin structure still! If you however do want to taste one bottle, give it 24-36 hours...

3/10/2019 10:24:00 AM - Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Glad to hear that I can carefully approach a few vintages now. I was expecting that those 2010s would be a long way off.
