Sunday, March 6, 2022 - The Chateau Pontet Canet 2011 is a 5th growth Bordeaux from Pauillac. The wine is deep ruby with a bit of bricking around the rim. Aromas are of dried fruit and leather, with a hint of brett. Medium+ acidity with balanced and well-integrated, medium tannins, medium body and medium (13.5%) alcohol. Flavors of sour cherry, blackberry and mushroom with undertones of slate and wet stone. Medium length on the finish. Ready to drink now with a bit of decanting.
