Friday, April 1, 2016 - Appearance: Dark ruby, clear. Some legs.
Nose: Predominantly dark fruit (with prune and cassis), some red fruit, vanilla, herbaceous notes, and gentle hints of minerals and coffee.
Palate: More primary. Dark fruit, licorice, oak. Medium-full bodied, medium+ acidity, medium tannins but rather harsh.
Give it another few years and it should develop into something nicer. Tannins need time to soften and integrate. 89+ for now.
