Friday, March 8, 2024 - Friday late night at home with neighbourhood friends. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Apperance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of fairly integrated vanilla toast oak, mint, cedar, blackcurrant, purple plum, blueberry, dark red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, high alcohol, velvety plush high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackcurrant, blueberries, purple plums, sweet dark red cherries, sweet spices and integrated toast oak. Long sweetish finish.
Good quality. I was guessng USA Cabernet ~10 years old or Bordeaux Left Bank 2010. Interestingly turns out to be 2011 supposedly poor vintage.
