Sunday, May 16, 2004 - Terry Theise claims that Muller-Catoir makes the best Muscat in all of Germany and gave this wine "++" (an extremely high rating for a Kabinett level wine). Dr.T came into town so I opened this bottle with him and my wifes family Sunday before dinner. I opened this bottle about 30 minutes before drinking it but did not decant it. It was a clear pale straw color. It possessed some CO2 as tiny bubbles were present in the glass as it sat (no real spritziness to speak of though). This wine was dry as the label stated. Notes of lime, gravelly stone and some spices. Understated and a rather nice food wine. Fresh long finish. 89-90 points.
