Friday, March 22, 2024 - A softer, gentler Châteauneuf du Pape, but still clearly a Châteauneuf du Pape. Some primary fruit mixing with cocoa, a touch of leather, some minty herbs, and vague hints of vanilla in the start of the ride. Transitions gracefully. The tannins are mostly resolved. Still a serious wine, it’s softened considerably. Wonderful now, could get better.
