Monday, April 30, 2018 - I've had this a few times now and have enjoyed it. I don't think it was showing very well this evening. Raspberry aromas, some leather and wood, maybe a touch too sweet and not enough acidity to offset it, but quite a good expression of Monastrell. The tannins are softening early in its life too, so I think this doesn't have the longevity I was hoping for. Unfortunately we also drank it a few degrees too warm. In any case, a decent "big" wine for a meaty supper on an unseasonably chilly spring night.
