87 Points

Saturday, October 21, 2017 - If the palate had lived up to the nose, this might have been a 90+ point wine. The nose was quite complex showing fragrant red and dark fruit combined with notes of wet leather and discreet vanilla. The sturdy medium bodied palate was comparatively inexpressive with round rather dull fruit, earthy minerals, decent acidity and firm tannic backbone. It's my guess that it will open up further down the road. Just good right now.
