Sunday, March 18, 2012 - Bought recently from Crush. Light gold-yellow. Cool and complex nose of herbs, vegetation and green leaves, brown spices, mint, peach and peach pit, apricot, honey, and white raisins. Very multidimensional. The mint is especially entrancing with spearmint and menthol aspects. The herbal aspect takes the fore over the fruit. A cool nutmeg-eggnog aroma arises with time. A little more monolithic on the palate - honey, peach and white raisins, with brown spices: nutmeg and cumin and green leaves coming out later in the palate. Compelling mouthfeel - full of flavor and texture, but sleek and focused. The long finish starts with the green leaves, moves through the spices to the cool mint at the end. This is excellent and a significant step up from the Kabinett in my opinion. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je Ne Sais quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.
