Saturday, January 21, 2017 - Wow, a great surprise. Mature, but with some really good years yet ahead. Shows avg. age/bricking, but fruits/acids/tannins are in remarkably good shape here - more so considering 62 (as I know it) was good, but short of very good. That said, this offered remarkable complexity and finesse and is still quite fit for a festive dinner. Earth, some graphite, plenty of dead/decaying leaves, a hundred different kinds of mushrooms, and floral/spice notes the frame the package beautifully. A real treat. recommended

Served non-blind; double-decanted for sediment one hour prior to service, this was allowed to breathe for approximately 1 hr - only got better as it was open.
