Saturday, August 14, 2010 - Vintage Tignanello Tasting (Louise's House): Similar colour to the 80 Tig but this shows more concentration.
The nose is big on vegital notes with violets, tar and dark fruits shining. Very pretty.
Dry palate, moderate dusty tannins and well balanced acidity. Lots of plum, current, raspberry notes going on. A real mix of dark and light fruits. Secondary flavors are found in spades; lots of earthy, stone notes, green bell pepper, tobacco, and worn chest. Super long finish that showcases the solid structure of this wine.
Man this is a beauty. Drink now - 2015.
Outstanding Quality. 94 pts.
