Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - A dark colored wine with crimson rim, quite perfumed on the nose exhibiting dark cherries, orange peel, violets, incense, humid soil, and alot of vanilla. Very dense texturally with dark cherries, blackberries, and a bit of blueberries on the attack followed by hints of citric notes and black pepper on the mid-palate. The finish is dominated by creamy vanilla flavors with hints of spices and mouth searing minerality. A mid-bodided wine with succulent flavors, a slightly weak mid-palate, and high alcohol finish. Opened and left in bottle for 24 hours before consuming, much more integrated after a day.
