Tuesday, January 7, 2014 - Clear and bright, medium ruby colour and presence of inky legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of vanilla, cedar, liquorice, lavender, ripe plums and hints of strawberry. The wine is dry in the mouth, with a medium+ acidity, medium+ fine grained tannins, high alcohol, medium+ body and medium+ intensity flavours of ripe plums, liquorice, strawberry and hints of vanilla. Medium finish. It's a very good quality wine with a good balance between acidity and fruit concentration, a decent complexity provided by oak ageing aromas and a nice structure, however it could be even more complex. Drink now, but it has enough potential to develop more complexity in the next 2-3 years.
