Sunday, February 14, 2010 - Brick color, reminiscent of Barolo though not quite so striking. None of the intense purple you get from the Left Bank or from a great Chateau. Very clearly a lighter style of wine.

Very spicy and perfumed nose. A little touch of yeastiness. Still some tannins, though fading and nicely integrated. Not a fruit-heavy wine, more of an old-style Bordeaux with a focus on “elegance.” Not quite as nice as the '02 Laujac poured last week. Fully mature. Nice wine, good value.
