Saturday, March 4, 2017 - The 7th wine (and second port) of the night so comments a bit unfocused and recorded next day. Very light colour, pale, pale tawny. Had thrown deep crust in bottle. A very light smooth VP, easy to drink and a light shadow of earlier years I suspect but wonderfully smooth spirit and complex old notes of varnish and subtle wood esters. Probably on a downhill trajectory, no reason to cellar longer. Agree very much with Logos on description but can't fathom others scoring for this wine.
