Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - Heard that Roederer was the best of the French Champagne houses producing a sparkling wine in CA. Bought a few bottles for a party and this was a leftover. Wanted to try one, since at the party I stuck to the one Bollinger I popped (yum). Straw yellow. No real nose to speak of. Big mousse with tiny bubbles throughout 2 pours that lessened over time. Apples and yeast on the palate. Good to slightly very good with decent QPR for a party wine. Lacking the acidity needed to give real refreshment and punch.
