Friday, December 25, 2015 - Light yellow color. Nose gives apple, lemon, white bread dough. Medium bead. On arrival, medium acidity and nice balance between creaminess and energy. Flavors of pear, apple, lemon, spicecake (!). Typical of Cali bruts, finished off dry. Useful on its own as an aperitif, worked even better in Kir Royale. At $18 US in supermarkets here, maybe the best under $25 California sparkler at the moment we've found.
