90 Points

Wednesday, July 4, 2018 - slate gray light straw color, abundant persistent bubbles. Nose green apples, floral, hint of yeast. Palate crisp, good richness, some apple and honey flavor; good minerality; dry; light citrus pith bitterness on finish. Pleasant and hits all the right notes, but not very distinctive, and the light bitterness on finish is a bit of a detractor; I liked the richness but some may quibble with that if your preferences go towards leaner/lower dosage champagnes. 89-90 pts but bumping up for the QPR and the fact that it's from California -- happy birthday, 'murica
