Sunday, December 24, 2006 - A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this has become my go to basis sparkler. Against a Feuillatte, this appeared a bit coarser and having a bit less depth. But, at half the price, that’s picking a nit. Light gold in color with a nose of biscuit and lemon cream. Satisfying. Perfect when you want something sparking, but not something to think about. 12% alc. Paired with various spreads (artichoke and smoked salmon), spiced mixed nuts, breads and crackers. With the Dortons one evening and BBH the next (Christmas 2006).
