Tuesday, April 23, 2024 - Two corked, two in great shape, this bottle opened as the winemaker intended with mid intensity clear cherry red colour and a nose of sweet red berry fruits with wild strawberry and raspberry prominent with a background of rose and cherries. The palate has a fine rich line of fruit that persists well into the back-palate of minerals and fungi. There is a lovely line of compote of berry fruits that develops an almost liquor touch with time in the glass. A reminder of how fine Beaune can be.
