93 Points

Sunday, May 25, 2008 - Wonderful wine; impressive structure and balance; drinkable now, but with many good years remaining. Not an obvious Bordeaux; very little bret, lacking the signature "barnyard" on the nose. Notes of plum, red fruits, leather, earth. I agree with other tasters it is younger on the palate than on the nose, with noticeable tannins remaining. I will wait before attacking the next bottle. This would perhaps present as more mature with more time in the decanter (we decanted around 1 hour). Short to medium finish. No complaints at all, but its best years are still to come.
