Saturday, February 22, 2014 - Another enjoyable bottle of this wine. Like the last several, the color was purple and violet. The nose showed distinct red fruit and cherry, smoke, meaty notes and that classic Pegau brett funk. The mouth feel revealed raspberry notes and excellent acidity. The finish was moderate with a touch of sweetness and the acidity, fruit, tannins and funk were all brought together seamlessly.

An excellent value at $16 and a wine I'll easily look for again. It paired excellently with my GF and my Saturday night meal of braised short ribs, parsnip puree and Swiss Chard.
