Friday, May 18, 2012 - 30 year old margaux showing sweet red fruit, florals, leather, spice, and some musty barnyard. The wine showed incredible balance and finesse with notes of sweet red fruit, cassis, leather, tea, dusty tannins and a finish that was very pleasant and long. The acidity seems to be the lifeline to this wine and makes this feel youthful and fresh despite slightly fading fruit and tannins.
