Saturday, May 1, 2021 - Classic Barolo with rose, leather and cherries on the nose. In the mouth there's a clear note of liquorice at the end of the tasting curve. The style is restrained yet powerful, and it was absolutely a great choice with duck in blackcurrant sauce and risotto. I do wish I bought more of these wines in less than superlative vintages. They often turn out to be the best wines with food, and they do come around while the owner may still be alive.
