Monday, July 22, 2013 - Okay, I'm biased! I love this wine! It's my favorite second wine from the great chateaus. I started with six bottles and have been consuming them for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. I try to aerate and decant the bottle in plenty of time for it to open up. Usually, I'm too impatient, but so what, this is a wonderful Bordeaux. It's wondrous to watch it change color in the glass, going from a dark cherry to a brilliant, clear garnet. Great up front and long and complex in the finish. An archetypical Graves. Herbaceous, spicy and peppery. Its Haut-Brion breeding really shows through. One bottle left for a celebration next summer!
