Saturday, June 8, 2013 - Opened an hour in advance, no decanting. Nose of great aromatic complexity: leather, gooseberry marmalade (i.e. fruity vanilla), caramel, salt, dark berries. No edges to the taste but not quite silky nor ethereal. Good acidity. Quite unique but needs more air or bottle-age.

    6/8/2013 2:25:00 PM - Hi there DK,
Afraid that all you have described is all that Bosconia can give us
Perhaps it isn't enough for you :-) but don't think it's going to show an aristocratic character with more time excepting a sweeter stuff with more leather than fruit.
Anyway, don't panic we're just Hispanics
    Cheers,

6/9/2013 2:26:00 AM - Thanks for the comment. I greatly like the silky lacy sweetness of old Rioja, and if this bottle did not show its very best (the nose was great however), it might be due to the cheeses accompanying it. Anyway, I have two more bottles that I intend to keep my hands off for some time, so we will see.

Two more bottles? You're a lucky guy.
Everything's possible with Bosconia I agree and that's why my only bottle is for the next 2025. I'll tell you how...
    Cheers!
