Saturday, September 28, 2013 - Drank this with the 1998 Vina Tondonia Rose Gran Reserva and 1996 Vina Tondonia White Reserva. Lopez is an amazing producer. This wine started off very herbal to me with barolo-like notes of tar and leather. The balance of tannin/acid/body was perfect. This could last many years to come. As it got air over the 3-4 hours that we drank it, more burgundian notes came through with the forest/cedar/red fruit flavors. Stunning and a steal at $90 in my opinion.
