Friday, February 13, 2015 - I had a stunning experience a few nights ago with some chinese takeout and a bottle of this. While this is one of my favorite Gewurtzes from Anderson Valley, I probably wouldn't ordinarily rate it this high, but it just sang to me with some dry-braised crispy pork. One of the best wine & food experiences I've had in awhile.
So sad to see that with the Cliff Lede takeover, they don't seem to be making a Gewurtz anymore...they're still buying the Pinot from Ferrington; what are they doing with the Gewurtz?
Or maybe the right question to ask is: who makes the *next* best Gewurtz from AV?
