Monday, March 3, 2014 - Medium depth of color to bright cerise at the rim. On the nose, raspberry, cassis, sweet oak, with a faint mineral edge, growing quite generous with air, though a touch fumy. A little thin on the palate, quite warm, showing cherry fruit, moderate acidity, and tannins and heat through the short finish. A decent enough New World style wine, no outright flaws other than the heat. This might improve a bit with age. 14.8% abv.
