Some dark fruit, but more white pepper and sharpish tannins than I would have liked. It felt a bit disjointed to me, and did not improve in the hour I followed it. It felt flat and a little hollow in the mid-palate - the fruit just didn't expand.
I am hoping the 2nd half of this bottle will show better (which was gently poured immediately into a 375 and re-corked with the original cork).
