Friday, May 31, 2019 - Carlisle's 2010 Bennett Valley Syrah is an opaque crimson, full-bodied wine that is packed with dark bramble fruits, damson plums, baking spices and black pepper. Ripe yet freshly acidic, it is layered in the middle, wrapping the fruit with sweet tannins and creamy oak while hiding its 13.8% alcohol well. Finishing with impressive length, this is still quite youthful. Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years. Drink now-2025.
