Sunday, March 20, 2022 - Opened and poured. Very dark, purples and deep reds. On the nose, very muted...not a lot going on, and this carries over to the palate as well. Very neutral, with no lively acidity or fruit to make this interesting. Tastes like a mediocre appellation blend of inferior fruit trying to masquerade as something else. Some fruit pastes, past their expiration dates. On day two, a little sweetness came out to make this a little more interesting. Overall ok, but definitely not my favorite Carlisle. On day two + under vac-u-vin this has turned to olive juice.
