Thursday, February 12, 2015 - Very reminiscent of the '08 Long Meadow Ranch reds that I've had in terms of having a rather unique note on the nose and palate that I can't quite place. On both nose and palate, toasty oak, vanilla, and crushed dark fruit predominate with just a touch of ripe raspberry and some earth/leather in the background. Tannic presence still very strong and the oak isn't quite fully integrated (will it ever integrate??), suggesting this wine still has quite a long drinking window. 84-86
