Wednesday, November 8, 2006 - This wine is OK for a Cali Chard. Oak predominates, but there is some minerality. Can this age 10 years to integrate the Oak? I doubt it!!! Drink now or forever hold your piece. Buy a generic white burgundy and you would have saved $10. Latour Pouilly-Vinzelles or Montagny. Maybe they should stop growing Chardonnay in CA and concentrate on the Rhone varietals like Rousanne, Marsanne and Voigneier. I have had some very good ones from CA. Climate is more appropriate for these grapes in in most microclimates.
