Saturday, January 1, 2022 - On first taste, this wine seemed a touch flatter than the Loring Carg 2011, but as the wines opened and the meal continued, this became the tables favorite wine. Not as dark as the Loring Carg (of course), but with pretty ruby notes. The nose immediately showed ripe cherry flavors. Not long after, it developed cola, lavender and earth notes. The tannins are well integrated; the mouthfeel is round with a satisfying richness. The balance of the wine is impeccable. No sediment. 14.1% alc. With house smoked salmon. 01.01.22. Recommended, leaning to Highly Recommended.
