Saturday, February 21, 2009 - In the glass a medium dark ruby and garnet pearls at the rim - A wonderfully fragrant cabernet nose of a fully mature wine that promises an evening of dancing and humor and oh so much fun.This wine had a precocious youth while its younger sister was always in the background - it became truly a Cinderella at the ball. In the mouth a softness and elegance and again those marvelous flavors of a fine old cabernet but alas the princess in the glass some how ignored the strike of midnight and with the light of dawn the bloom that was there was gone - the ball gown in daylight showed how tattered it was as were the slippers that no prince would carry across the country side to seek the owner. The wine literally died in the glass in less than 30 minutes - Long live the new Princess - the 1985
