Wednesday, May 20, 2009 - Blind Night (Mattias): Dark purple color. Blackcurrant nose. Tastes of black cherry, violet, currant and blackberry. Well balanced. Rich finish with very nice depth and complexity of fruit. Blind tasted both 1997 Plumpjack Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve's under screwcap and cork against each other. Correctly identified Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon for both but thought they were from different producers. The cork version being more evolved and complex.
