Saturday, March 2, 2019 - Pop and pour. Back-up wine at a tasting. Developed nose, tobacco, tealeaves, dried spices. Plenty of life in this. Ripe, fine grained tannins in finish. Medium length. Not a very complex wine, but performs beautifully well tonight. Drinking very nicely now at an impressive age. Perfect with confit of duck and mushroom risotto.
