Sunday, July 9, 2017 - Dinner at Brian's (Moonbeam View): Lovely stuff. The nose was very much in line with what I have come to expect from a modern Cristal - expressive and attractive, with aromas of sweet cream, nuts and yeast alongside sweet ripe fruit and a lick of florals. All very pretty. It was obviously youthful on the palate, very juicy and cirtrussy, with a finely vigorous mousse and a great sense of tension and purity running through its core of apples and mineral, all this laced with plenty of lemony freshnnes as the wine glided into a nutty finish. Already showing a nice complexity and poise, but this obviously needs many years yet before hitting peak. A really nince wine though!
