Wednesday, June 27, 2012 - Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Tasted at Winery. 79% Syrah, 21% Cab Sauv (sourced from Oak Knoll AVA). Very dark red/purple in color, with moderately intense aromas of dark fruit and ripe juicy red berries. The flavors were mostly bright fruit with mild tannins. The finish was long but still simple, dominated by the fruit with some slight spiciness. This one needs 2+ yrs.
