Monday, November 13, 2017 - Considering the year 2000 was not a good one for this region, this bottle delivered above expectation. The wine was decanted 30 mins prior to drinking and served at 16C. Throughout the folllowing hours, the wine gradually transformed in the glass.
Starting of faint but sharp and monotone, it rounded out remarkably with hints of red fruit, menthol and a herblike component. With a good dose of acidity and no tannins to speak of, this wine was over the hill but still very much enjoyable.
