Definitely an old world wine and starts off a little rough around the edges, but it has the backbone to make it worthwhile. Reasonably smooth tannins indicate this wine will be nice for 4-5 more years. Probably not going to be a favorite among napa cab lovers, but after 20 minutes in the glass, the edges rounded off and it was a really nice wine. No masking of anything with tons of vanilla oak. Just an honest red.
