Saturday, May 3, 2014 - Dark crimson core fading to light amber on the rims. Distinct aromas of wild berries, mint leaf and mushrooms. The wine is undoubtedly in the late stages of maturity and acquiring secondary flavors in the form of dried raisins, orange mocha, apricot jam as well as some earthy notes. There isn't much left in the way of fruit and the tannins are clearly fading, however the wine still boasts a pleasantly soft texture and a fairly long finish - albeit turning somewhat overly bitter. Still a delight and good value - to be enjoyed now as I cannot see it going for more than a couple of years.
