95 Points

Monday, October 19, 2015 - Another amazing example of this vineyard. Complex nose with layers of sweet and savory flavors: sweet cherry, Tabasco, roast meat, barnyard, leather, and so many other things. I just want to sit and smell it for hours. Nice sweet attack on the palate, with many of the flavors in the nose, with a touch of acidity to lift the sweetness and encourage another sip. So incredibly smooth. There is a nice medium weight in the mouth. The finish goes on and on.

Update: After about 4-5 hours in decanter this started to fade a bit. Not quite as complex as earlier, and not holding up as well as the 2011 BF (though that is perhaps no surprise). Still for the first few hours I would say a solid 95.
