Thursday, July 5, 2018 - Popped and poured on a Thursday night, we've pulled a couple of cases of older Cayuse to taste through in the coming months.

This 2004 Armada Syrah was singing right from the get go, no decanting needed. Slightly subdued nose, faint ripe plums and rocky notes. Red berries, minerals and prolific gravelly notes abound in this wine. Acidity is still present but receding into the background at this point, tannins are fine and silky smooth. Finish lasts for well over a minute. For those who like aged wine this Armada Syrah is phenomenal at this point, but I would drink soon!
