Thursday, September 13, 2012 - White gold color with aromas of white floral, soft white peach and apricot. It also has a tropical note - reminds me of guava or watermelon. On the palate: medium+ body, high acidity, with moderate astringency. Clean, crisp and refreshing with a little spritz. Fruit flavors of pink grapefruit and Meyer lemon - quenching acidity. Finish has flavors of blanched almonds and a hint of orange pith bitterness. Texture has an oily viscosity that you pick up up after the wine clears your palate. A good choice for a food friendly, affordable, alternative white from the US.
